Get ready for an unforgettable culinary vacation in the CIA kitchens. This program is a great way to experience highlights from some of our most popular CIA Boot Camps. On each themed day, you’ll learn and practice hands-on culinary skills and experience exciting new flavors, all with the helpful guidance of our famed chef-instructors.
On day one, Sharpening Your Knife Skills & Culinary Fundamentals, you’ll practice knife cuts and learn all about roasting, grilling, sautéing, braising, poaching, steaming, and more. Day two introduces you to The Italian Table, where each team will embark on a culinary exploration of the ingredients, flavor profiles, and dishes of one of the diverse regions of Italy. The third day focuses on The Flavors of Asia, as each group prepares dishes from a different country, such as China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea. Day four is all about Baking & Pastry, when you’ll practice the fundamentals of baking bread and creating elegant plated desserts. You’ll end your Boot Camp experience with Bistros and Brasseries, as you sample the best of casual American-style and French bistro cooking.
As a participant in the five-day Best of Boot Camp, you’ll receive two chef’s uniforms, each with a jacket, pants, and a neckerchief. Paper chef’s hats, side towels, and aprons will be provided in class.
